Our founders, Kristy Campbell and Ken Jagger, each bring more than 20 years’ experience in the Western Australian legal market. Ken co-founded a pioneering legal secondments business in Western Australia in 2008, helping lead its national and international expansion, multiple mergers and acquisitions, and eventual sale to a global professional services firm in 2023. Kristy led the Perth business for many years, building deep relationships across Western Australia’s legal and corporate community. Together, they founded Counsel Connect – bringing decades of experience, relationships and market knowledge to a business built specifically for Western Australia.

Managing Director
Kristy is the founder and Managing Director of Counsel Connect. Kristy has over 20 years experience in legal and executive recruiting and has developed a deep network of In-house Lawyers, Legal Counsel, Executives and corporate management teams in the WA market.
Her strength is in advising listed and privately owned companies in relation to their strategic resourcing needs, culture development and people management.
Prior to founding Counsel Connect, Kristy was Head of the Perth office of Lawyers On Demand, responsible for a large team providing flexible legal resources to its corporate clients. Before joining Lawyers on Demand, Kristy ran her own consultancy and has held management roles in several law firms and in international and boutique recruitment companies.

Chair
Ken is the Chair of Counsel Connect and a pioneer of the alternative legal services sector. Ken was a founder of Lawyers On Demand, a global legal services business.
From a start-up in Western Australia in 2008, Ken led the business through national and international expansion, multiple mergers and acquisitions, investment from UK private equity house Bowmark Capital, and ultimately to a successful sale to Consilio LLC in 2023.
Prior to establishing LOD, Ken was a partner at Herbert Smith Freehills specialising in the delivery of projects in the Western Australian energy, resources and infrastructure sectors.

Board Member
Jason is on the Board of Counsel Connect. Jason was a Partner at global law firm HSF for 24 years and held Senior Global leadership positions during that time, including Office Managing Partner Perth, Board Member of Freehills, Regional Managing Partner Australia for HSF, and Global Head of Practice for Finance, Real Estate and Projects for HSF, with responsibility for the firm's Latam business.
Following that, he spent a number of years as General Counsel of The Minderoo Foundation and the Tattarang Group of companies. He is currently Chair of boutique firm Chord Advisory and is a Non-Executive Director of a number of companies in the renewable energy, critical minerals and education sectors. Jason is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Chloe is an experienced HR professional across legal, oil and gas and Not-for-Profit sectors. Operating in senior HR and talent roles within the legal sector for the past 10 years, Chloe brings a strong understanding of the Australian legal market, in-house secondments, and best practice HR and legal talent management.
Chloe is experienced working with Partners and Senior Executives, providing both strategic and generalist HR Business Partner advice, delivering cyclical HR processes and implementing HR projects, including leading graduate recruitment campaigns and managing all HR aspects of a graduate lifecycle within a top tier firm. She also provided strategic HR consulting to a Not-for-Profit organisation on remuneration, retention and talent management frameworks.
